They usually consist of approximately 18% chromium and 8-10% nickel. Which ensures their strength and forgiveness. The flanges contain mechanical properties such as high tensile strength (approximately 485-620 MPa) and yield strength (approximately 205 MPa) making them best suited for applications involving high-stress.
